CALLED IT. ( My theory about Jhon was correct. Hope I haven’t broken the plot guessing rule though. )
On a side note, the triplets just don’t seem like killers to me. Based on their last fight, they seem more like the mostly harmless, yet annoying and incompetent terrible trio stock characters that show up in cheesy kid friendly animes/cartoons to pester the main heroes and provide comic relief that ultimately comes from their schemes blowing up in their faces . ( Sometimes literally )
Even Female KISS reject strikes me as big bad wannabee at best.
Yoked Barbarian Chick on the other hand, seems like the only real threat.
The triplets are killers, but they’re not as dangerous as their sisters due to their size and tendency to squabble with each other.
Actually, the first sister is probably the most deadly because she’s a sadist who enjoys inflicting pain on others whether there’s any money in it or not.
The second sister who is the most physically dangerous, generally only kills for “business reasons” and isn’t inclined to beat up/kill someone just for the hell of it, like the first sister.
I am forced to wonder what the guy did to piss off the strong sister so much she punched him, given she’s wearing her magic gloves and did mention she only had to flick the noble to decapitate him. Then again she could just have been grouchy the day the poor guy met her.
I’m touched by how content the woman in the third panel looks…. It’s nice. ^_^
Now I’m curious what kind of fortunes Jhon’s sons went looking for. Might be the Daughters of Misrule have a chance to expand their criminal network. I’m also curious why the Madam(‘s mum) didn’t employ any of the sons as the daughters. There are probably wealthy women looking for a zero-responsibility tumble as well, right?
I had intended “seeking their fortunes” to mean that the sons set out to pursue their own criminal endeavors. Presumably, they left to become bandits/highway robbers or went to larger, wealthier kingdoms hoping to make more money from their crimes.
As far as the brothel goes, it wouldn’t be unheard of for some of the sons to return(if their criminal careers don’t pan out) and take up their sisters’ occupation. The Madam, never one to miss an opportunity to make a buck, does keep some men around for that purpose. And besides, someone has to share her bed when Sharona isn’t around. 🙂
So…. Did any of the children of the brothel manage to find socially acceptable jobs and happiness, regardless the distance to the place they were born?
The killer daughters are no doubt resentful having whores for mothers instead of queens. They inherit none of their father wealth nor class having to sexual please dirty old men so of course they got to go. You have to crack eggs to make omelet and beside better a cut throat mercenary like their brothers than a over sexed whore. Then again maybe the brothers are no talent hacks in which case better than a transvestie whore or even worse a boy toy for the evil sex in the city women. Not the horny grannies anything but those horrorible women ahhhhhhhhhhh.
Here we see that the Sisters don’t understand the concept of renewable resources. Kill a man and take all his money, you get one big payout. Beat a man up, threaten him and force him into a protection scheme, or just rob him every now and then when he crosses your path, and you get paid repeatedly.
Or until the Old Bill and his posse catch up to you, anyway.
Good point. The reoccurring issue with the Sisters is that they’re more street smart than strategic(as they demonstrated with their defense of the Black Tower). As a result, they tend to miss the big picture.

Glad to hear it. Minotaur sister seemed a bit ‘drunk on the dark side’ on those gloves, at first glance… ^^;

Him having something she wanted would probably be enough, although she doesn’t generally need much of a reason!

I see now why the Madam and her Mum have a “no-anticonceptive drugs”-policy. :-/ They’re maintaining their workforce…
That and the fact that prostitutes aren’t always the most responsible people when it comes to things like that. 😀

I imagine that some of them managed to settle down and live happily ever after.
