Sharona is using the wisdom of the great Sun Tzu who replied to the question in verses 28 of the nine varieties of ground. “How does one cope against a well ordered enemy host about to attack me?” “Seize something he cherishes and he will conform to your desires.” While Sanibal host is not well ordered she does desire the gem so it gives Sharona an opportunity to play her.
