That is poor law enforcement sexually taking advantage of the prisoners however both goblin and Sharona are guilty of disorderly conduct and theft. Since the naked goblin was the planner and ring leader she should get the harshest punishment be sent to the tower of agony as a slave for ten years. While Sharona get time served with a fine and released they seemed to have punished her in the tower. But what of the strange woman something sinister about her Sharona troubles have only started again while prison is not the best place to naked if one is a sexy goblin.
That and the pink hair. 😉
…
Hmm. If her Mum has the same, let us say statuesque proportions, she might have attracted someone special. Sharona could be a demi-something-or-other. 😉
Although Sharona did inherit her pink hair and some of her other characteristics from her parents, both of her parents were human, thus making Sharona an ordinary human(although “ordinary probably” isn’t the best way to describe her!) 😉
Always interesting to see reality ensue in a fantasy environment. Of course people would complain about brawling in the streets. Of course the local police would respond. And of course police without a M.I.R.A.N.D.A.-protocol would use a takedown procedure on violent criminals, rather than stand there like an idiot barbarian hero, bellowing challenges.
Although much(if not most) of the world in Sharona’s era is essentially lawless, cities(especially larger ones like this one) tend to have their own authorities and peacekeepers.
While it has the benefit of being safer than the small villages and outlying areas, the authorities are generally not answerable to too many people(just the magistrate and whatever rulers are above him/her in this case) and therefore their methods of keeping the peace can be a little on the rough side.
You know how it goes.
In a largely lawless era, the law needs to be tough in the havens it protects.
And tough law is a prime breeding ground for brutality, corruption and tyranny….

Plot twist!
Again we see that even the mighty Sharona can be taken down if hit with sufficient force and in the right place.
Sharona is only human after all. Even if her chest size may cause some to suspect otherwise. 😀
Not to mention she just ran a gauntlet, getting out of – and through – that tower. This was one hard knock too many for one day.
Added to the fact that she didn’t see it coming either.

The last panel does seem to support that theory…
